Get Ready, Get Set, Change!

It’s ironic that the topic for my blog is change, as the wrath of hurricane Sandy certainly created change for so many – Change that we couldn’t control, but prepared for it as best we could.   Barring any catastrophes’ change can be a good thing if change is made by choice.  However it can also create emotional chaos.  Many factors come into play; fear, risk, worry, or leaving your comfort zone, all, which can cause resistance.  Issues such as entitlement and approval come into play.  As women, we tend to judge ourselves through he eyes of others, yet men don’t seem to need that same approval.  […]

Did you know that 90% of businesses are family owned?  Initially women were asked to join the family business as they were the caregiver of their families and it was thought they could continue this job within the family business. First it was asked as a “favor” and then their role was expanded based on  their talents.
